Transformative or transformational? Why one word holds the power to change your life.

I tried, I really did! I took the time to journal once again. After about 30 minutes, I looked up and sighed, “I need something to shift!” Something that doesn’t feel like I just checked another box; something that doesn’t cause me to collapse under the pressure of the achievement.

Sound familiar? If it does, you’re not alone. Women like us, highly ambitious introverted women, we’ve been taught to chase transformation like a trophy; something big, shiny and public. But the quiet truth remains, before anything becomes transformational on the outside, it has to be transformative on the inside.

Now, before you come with the thought that they are one in the same, let me submit to you that there is a difference.

Let’s chat about it!

TRANSFORMATIVE: THE SACRED INNER SHIFT

Think of transformative as something deeply personal. It’s what happens when your mindset opens in the most profound way. It’s subtle, sacred and often silent. It doesn’t scream for attention, it whispers the Truth in your Spirit. A transformative moment happens when:

  • You finally stop hustling for your worth.

  • You begin honoring your energy instead of stretching it thin.

  • You realize peace is not a reward, it’s a right.

It’s the internal rerouting, the moment you decide your fed up with operating from burnout and ready to operate from belief. Transformative work happens in quiet rooms, late night prayers, intentional journaling or a single session with a coach who sees you (I’m laughing but serious). It’s not always visible but it’s always vital.

TRANSFORMATIONAL: THE VISIBLE EVIDENCE

Transformational is what the world sees after the work is done.

It’s your glow-up, not just in your appearance but in your presence.

It’s the way you lead your business meetings with grace instead of grit.

It’s how you set boundaries without guilt.

It’s the shift in your conversations, your posture and your confidence.

In other words, transformational results are the fruit of a transformative mindset. But here’s the catch; many women chase the fruit without nurturing the soil.

SO WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR YOU?

If you’re reading this, I know one thing, you are not afraid of growth. However, if growth is leaving you exhausted instead of empowered, something is off. The world may honor your transformation but I want to honor your transformative moments. The ones where you:

  • chose stillness over scrambling

  • Said no when it would’ve been easier to say yes

  • Rewrote the narrative in your mind before rewriting your resume.

The truth is a transformative mindset doesn’t just help you reach goals, it changes how you carry yourself while getting there. That…that is the kind of inner power that produces lasting transformation.

FINAL SIPS OF TRUTH (tea not shade…HA!)

You don’t need a brand new life, you need a brand new lens. Start with your mindset. Let it be transformative. Let it rewire the way you think, rest, lead, grow and love. Let it be the thing that allows you grace in the process. Then, watch the transformation unfold in ways you’ve never imagined.

If you’re ready to stop settling for surface level shifts and start tapping into your God given ability to thrive from the inside out, I’d love to walk that journey with you. The THE TRANSFORMATIVE MINDSET COACHING was birthed, to nurture the transformative power within you as you make your personal evolution your greatest masterpiece.

In Joy,

Coach Dea
