the n-word…

Ok…ok…ok…not that N-word! I’m talking about the show-up, smile, shake hands N-word. The walk in the room, small talk, “here’s my card” N-word. The one we’ve learned to tolerate for the sake of our businesses, our careers, even our image.

I’m talking about networking.

That N-word that often leaves introverts not just drained but disconnected from who we really are.

Have you ever felt that tension? The pull between what feels natural and what’s expected? The harsh reality is, for many ambitious introverted women, success is measured by how well we “do” networking. But what if the real power isn’t in performing? What if the secret lies in the truth that we weren’t made to network, we were designed to connect?

Connection is rooted in presence. It’s the quiet chat over tea. The,“Hey I saw your work and it really resonated.” It’s the thoughtful follow-up, not the crowded elevator pitch.

As a introverted professional, I’ve learned this first hand: one genuine connection can do more for your growth than 50 shallow touch-points ever could. So, if you’ve ever felt like you were “bad at networking,” maybe the truth is you are wired for something deeper. Let’s chat soon over a clarity call.

With tea in hand I say, “Here’s to leading with authenticity not anxiety!”

In Joy,

Coach Dea
